Happy Thursday everyone! Sorry for the small hiatus while I battled the stomach flu and finals. So so so much stuff coming in the next couple days so stick with me. But first, let me tell you about my nightmare Thursday so far...
Babies got up around 8am which is pretty normal for us. Immediately, Kota is in a bad mood. She throws a holy fit over putting socks on and then insists over and over that it's time to "go bye-bye" (an hour before Chey's appointment...)
So we load up and head to the doctors office for Chey's 15 month check up (all the details in next post). We're in the waiting room and Kota decides that she doesn't want to wear her boots anymore so she takes them off and throws herself on the floor just as the nurse is calling us to come back. So I'm trying to force her boots on and make sure Chey doesn't decide to take off. It was awful.
We get through the appointment with Dakota screaming about "snacks" that she seemed to think I was hiding in my pockets (which I wasn't). So I run to the gas station and get her some cookies (because apparently gas stations around here can't just carry fruit snacks anymore...) and suddenly both my children and their carseats and jackets are covered in chocolate and cookies before we get back home. So more laundry for meπ
Finally back home and I'm trying to get them lunch and down for a nap since they are well past naptime. Kota is throwing a fit and just wants to go to bed so I give up on forcing her to eat, let Chey finish, and put them both to bed. I had a phone advising appointment set up for 1pm and I thought "this is perfect! They'll be napping while I'm on the phone".
Too bad I forgot that my college is on Central Time and therefore an hour behind me so I'm just sitting around for an hour waiting for her to call.
Oh what a day and I still have to go into work tonight. Wish me luck and Happy Thursday guys!π

I'm a Bad Mom Because...
Thanks to society, it is extremely common to mom shame. This goes for every decision and every move you make in motherhood. Someone out there is always "doing it better" or "doing it the right way". So here are the reasons I am just a horrible momπ
- I'm a bad mom because I do not co-sleep with my children
- I'm a bad mom because I breastfed rather than formula until they were each 7 months old
- I'm a bad mom because I didn't breastfeed until they were a year old
- I'm a bad mom because I believe in spanking my children
- I'm a bad mom because I don't believe in introducing religion to my children until they can choose for themselves
- I'm a bad mom because my children don't wear coats in their carseats
- I'm a bad mom because I vaccinate my children
- I'm a bad mom because Kota is forward facing before she is 2
- I'm a bad mom because I gave my children gripe water as babies (funny story behind this one)
- I'm a bad mom because I don't hold my children all the time
- I'm a bad mom because I don't get flu shots for my children
- I'm a bad mom because I believe in letting my children cry it out if need be
- I'm a bad mom because we shut Kota's door when she's sleeping
- I'm a bad mom because my children are growing up with Pitbulls
- I'm a bad mom because Kota has a tablet and watches TV
- I'm a bad mom because my children have always slept with blankets
- I'm a bad mom because I have always mixed their formula with tap water
- I'm a bad mom because I used to never water down Kota's juice cups
- I'm a bad mom because my daughter showers with her father
I'm sure there are many more reasons I'm a bad mom and I know I'm not the only one. I stand behind my choices and how I choose to parent my children and that's fine by me.

My Child Has the Strangest Manners
Okay so long time, no talk! So there is going to be like a post overload today and this weekend!π
Kota is going to be TWO next month (how????π) and she just has the STRANGEST manners for an almost 2 year old. Maybe it's just me but listen:
Kota is going to be TWO next month (how????π) and she just has the STRANGEST manners for an almost 2 year old. Maybe it's just me but listen:
- She says "Thank You" to everything. Its so cute
- She coughs into her elbow - where she picked this up? I have no idea
- She pushes in her chair everytime
- She will pick up her toys or at least help me when I ask
- She will bring me certain things for Chey if I ask her
She is so smart and I just love her BUT you try and get her to say "please" for anything and it's a meltdown. I have no clue why. Kids are funπ

First Family Trip to Newport Aquarium [12-29-18]
We went down to my dad house in Charleston, West Virginia for Christmas. Well, J and I both had to work the rest of the week after Christmas and we didn't have a babysitter lined up so the babies stayed in West Virginia with my dad. I had mentioned that I wanted to take the kids to the aquarium since Kota was older and would prolly enjoy it. So we met them down at Great Wolf Lodge where they were staying and headed to Newport.
Honestly, I think Chey and J enjoyed it more than Kota (who missed her morning nap and was a total demon). Overall, very good trip with the grandparents and we can't wait to go again when Kota isn't exhausted.

2019 Goals and 2018 Wrap Up
Financial:
- Refinance our truck
- Pay off my car
- Buy a third vehicle
- Save at least $3k
- Pay off credit card debt and medical bills
Personal:
- Work out at least 3 times a week (tone)
- Get to goal weight
- Focus on momming more than picking up extra hours
Babies:
- Get Kota potty trained
B & B Beauty Products:
- Reach Green status
- Team of 10+
- Stay CONSISTENT
I was going to do a full post about 2018 but honestly, I don't wanna dwell on it. We as a family lost some very good people (my grandma, J's uncle, and our family dog, Stella) but we also got baby Cheyenne. There were fights and laughs and tears and love. Most of all, there was so much love. Kota turned one and we grew close with J's sister and her family. J turned 30 and grew so much as a father. We lived and we learned and we've set ourselves up for an eventful and amazing 2019❤️
